Welcome to the Arnold Family History.

The Arnold family came to Australia from Silesia, now in Poland, in the mid 1800’s.

The five brothers, Gottlieb, Gottlob, Ehrenfried, Wilhelm and Carl Friedrich settled in the Barossa Valley in South Australia.  Today the Arnold descendants are scattered throughout Australia and overseas.

Digitalized versions of the Arnold Family books can be found on this website and using the search function family members can locate their connection to the original Arnold son from Silesia. The books contain a comprehensive family tree with more than 5000 descendants and spouses listed and many photographs and stories of their lives and achievements.

This site offers an insight into the history of the Arnold family and an opportunity to discover personal connections to the Arnold family who came to Australia in search of freedom to live their lives according to their own aspiration and beliefs.

Family members are welcome to contribute to this website.
