3.6.9 Edith Agnes Arnold.
Edith was born on 18 March 1910 in her parent’s home at Stockport and commenced her schooling at the Lutheran school, Bethel until the school was closed during World War I then she went to the Stockport Public School until reaching the age of fourteen.
She remained in the parent’s home, helping them as her mother was confined to a wheelchair. After the deaths of her parents Edith continued to live on the farm with her sister Esther and brothers Arthur and Ben. After the deaths of her brothers, Esther and Edith moved to Nuriootpa in 1976.
