Introduction to Family Documentation

The following are an interesting collection of historical Arnold family cards and documents.

Of particular interest is the naturalisation documents of four of the brothers who arrived in South Australia from Selesia. The baptismal cards were once prized and beautifully designed, given by the god parents as part of the celebration of the baptism of a blessed child. There are a few examples of Certificates of Baptism from the 1930’s.

The wills of Gottlob and Ehrenfried and a few decedents are confirmed by the Sepreme Court of the time. There is a beautifully scripted document by the Registrar of the Supreme Court pertaining to the fourth Wilhelm who died aged 42 years.

We look forward to adding more examples of certificates and cards in the future as families uncover items in old boxes of family memorabilia, hidden in some obscure place.
