Arnold Family Tours
Introduction to the Arnold Family Tours
Lorraine Powers (2.9.1.8.3) is an inaugural member of the Arnold Family History Committee and has significantly contributed to organising the Arnold Family Reunions in 1993 and 2003 and created the Arnold Family History Tours of the Barossa Valley.
All five Arnold brothers arrived and settled in the Barossa Valley. Within a decade the early generations of the Arnold family began to settle in rural regions throughout Australia. Many headed east to Albury Wodonga, Wagga Wagga and regions in Victoria.
This Barossa tour is an opportunity for you to explore the familiar places of our ancestors whose daily lives were interwoven with their Lutheran faith. Their presence remains today as you wander through the Lutheran cemeteries scattered throughout the Valley and look around the countryside and hamlets and realise the footprints, they have left for us today.
We invite Arnolds whose ancestors settled in other rural regions, especially in other states, to create a tour that the younger generations can explore.
