I was told that there was an evening service, and this was the conclusion of a very happy day. 
 
O blessed memories. 
 
One of the earliest pastors at Walla Walla was a highly esteemed old Gentleman, namely Father 
Klemke, who conducted the Divine services at the first home of Michael Wenke. I am aware that 
my father, Andreas Mickan was confirmed by Father Klemke who had been ordained by Pastor 
Herlitz at Melbourne, I presume. 
 
I presume Pastor Egan received the call and was present at the opening and the dedication of the 
first Evangelical Lutheran Church at Walla Walla but I am not sure of the date.
