Edna stayed home on the farm until the property was sold in 1942 and then moved with her father to Murray Bridge where she lived until 1960.
Edna then moved to Hawker where she met and married Alan Barnes who was an earth moving contractor constructing dams on rural properties Edna and Alan later bought a farm at Wudinna on Eyre Peninsula, however approximately five years later Alan met with a serious accident. Unable to work again they were forced to sell the farm and then lived in Adelaide until Alen’s death in 1985.
Lorna then lived in Moonta before returning to Murray Bridge.
