3.8.3 Leonhard Erwin Vogt.

Died: 28 December 1978.
After leaving school Len worked in his father’s blacksmith shop until moving to Mypolonga in 1923. He then worked in the store until his father’s retirement and then, after taking over the store with his brother and sisters, became store manager and was also the Mypolonga Postmaster.
Len played the cornet and was a member of the
Kapunda Brass Band and also sang in the Murray Bridge Choir. He was made a Justice of the Peace in 1943. As an indication of his sporting interests, he was a Life Member of the Mypolonga tennis and football clubs and also played lawn bowls. He was President of the Mypolonga Institute committee in 1974.
