4.2.4 Wilhelm Arthur Handke.
Arthur attended the Lutheran Day School and the State school at Point Pass and was instructed and confirmed by Pastor C Siegle at St Petri Lutheran Church, Point Pass.
Arthur never married. He spent the major part of his working life on the Jersey stud farm of Mr J A J Pfitzner at Hampden, where he found his work fulfilling and that family found him a very loyal employee. He also spent some time in the early 1940s in the construction work of the Morgan to Whyalla pipeline.
After retirement Arthur died suddenly in the family cottage which he had earlier renovated for his mother. He was aged fifty nine years.
